Governor Carcieri Unveils His 2005 Legislative Agenda

(February 10, 2005) Governor Donald L. Carcieri submitted a package of legislation designed to achieve his goals of creating good jobs, good schools, good government and preserving Rhode Island as a good place to live.

In total, the Governor submitted 26 pieces of legislation that address issues such as nursing home reform, the environment, economic development, health care, and public safety.

"This legislative agenda carries forward my vision of making Rhode Island the shining star of the Northeast," Governor Carcieri said.

"We have addressed many areas that are vital for us to achieve this goal. I look forward to working with the General Assembly on these issues."
